Registration

• Qualified and Regular Auditions: September 1st 12 noon (CST)
  • To attend UPTA 2023 Qualified or Regular Auditions, actors must be available for work year-round (i.e. not going back to school in the Fall or Spring) and meet ONE of the following criteria:
    1. Have an Master Level degree or higher in THEATRE (MA, MFA, PhD, etc.) by 9/1/23, or
    2. Be a current member of Equity, or
    3. Have attended previous UPTA auditions within the last 5 years, or
    4. Submit an audition video with recommendation from either a current UPTA or TCG company rep.
• Pre-Professional Audition: September 1st 12 noon (CST)
  • To attend UPTA 2023 Pre-Professional Auditions, actors must be available for work year-round (i.e. not going back to school in the Fall or Spring) and meet ALL of the following criteria:
    1. Have an UNDERGRADUATE THEATRE degree (BA, BFA, etc.) by 9/1/23, AND
    2. Have registration validated by the department head of their theatre program, AND
    3. Be pre-screened by uploading an audition video. For more details, click here.
• Production Personnel: September 1st 12 noon (CST)
  • To attend UPTA 2023 Production Interviews, attendees must be available for work year-round (i.e. not going back to school in the Fall or Spring) and meet ONE of the following criteria:
    1. Have an undergraduate THEATRE degree (BA, BFA, etc.) in their respective technical, administrative, or artistic field by 9/1/23, OR
    2. Have registration validated by a registered 2022 or 2023 UPTA theatre, OR
    3. Have registration validated by a current Theatre Communications Group (TCG) member theatre, OR
    4. Have attended previous UPTAs, OR
    5. Be an Equity Stage Manager.
