Transporation and Parking

TRANSPORTATION

The Festival does not provide transportation. Transportation remains the responsibility of each individual and high school.


PARKING

Parking information will be posted on August 15, 2023. Neither the Festival nor the University will pay for parking tickets/fines.

FOOD / BEVERAGE

Lunch Ticket Meals

Watterson Dining Commons is open for Theatre Festival participant’s lunches. A $19.70 meal ticket provides lunch for one person on both Friday and Saturday. All meal tickets MUST be purchased in advance when filling out the online school registration form (opens on August 15). One price provides the participant with an all-you-can-eat lunch for both days. This includes items such as pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, a salad bar, and home-style hot entrees. The cafeteria will be open from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm Friday and Saturday.

Lodging

Illinois High School Theatre Festival Hotels
January 11 – 13, 2024

Many thanks to the Marriott Hotel for their generous support of the 2024 Festival as the host hotel for the All-State Company and staff of She Kills Monsters.

The Illinois High School Theatre Festival holds no responsibility for arranging hotel accommodations. Blocks of rooms are set up as a service. Hotels that have a price quote have set aside rooms for the Illinois High School Theatre Festival. When calling any of the following hotels, you must ask for the Illinois High School Theatre Festival room block. All room blocks will expire at these hotels in early December, so be sure to book rooms early.

2024 HOTEL LODGING INFORMATION

The full listing of hotels will be provided on June 1.  The following hotels have room blocks on hold for Schools coming into town for the Illinois High School Theatre Festival. Each School must call in to reserve their own rooms within each block. You need to ask for the Illinois High School Theatre Festival block in order to receive these discounted rates. Each hotel has a cut-off date which is usually 3-4 weeks out from the Festival.
