    The Department of Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) invites applications for a Full-Time Visiting Artist. The position begins in August of 2024.

    Responsibilities

    Full-time Visiting Artists in the Department of Painting and Drawing teach undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and graduate level classes, including working with Post-baccalaureate and MFA students on a tutorial basis. Undergraduate classes will include studio drawing and studio painting at all curricular and developmental levels within the interdisciplinary art and design school environment of SAIC.

    The Shambhala Chicago Center is seeking a Communications & Marketing Coordinator on a part-time, contractor basis. The Coordinator plays a key role in the life of the center by publicizing programs, events, and practice sessions and by communicating with the Chicago community through newsletters, social media, and other means. This is a pivotal position in a volunteer-run organization.

    Potter & Potter Auctions is accepting applications for a full-time general assignment auction cataloger. The primary focus of this position is to organize, evaluate, and write catalog descriptions for a wide range of vintage, collectible, and valuable property and memorabilia for auction.

    The candidate should have a substantial working knowledge of antiques and collectibles, including previous experience as a seller or cataloguer at an auction house or in a similar role. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a well-developed sense for the value and desirability of merchandise within one or several fields in which we conduct auctions.

    Superior English writing and language skills are required, as well as strict attention to detail and organization.

    Zion Benton Township High School District 126 will be producing Mean Girls, High School Edition as our spring musical, with performance dates April 18-20. Our tech crew meets Monday-Thursday from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, and some Saturdays (at the TD’s discretion).

    Responsibilities: 1) Lead and instruct the crew in the creation of sets and props. 2) Offer design advice in areas of set, props, & lighting 3)Supervise all crew hours & 4)Stay within our budget. Compensation is currently a flat stipend of $3309 (minus taxes).

    Must pass a background check to work with students. Experience in set design/construction, rigging, and properties is a must.

    Naperville North High School is seeking a Technical Director to coordinate and oversee productions in the theatre, including design, build, painting, sound, and lighting for plays, miscellaneous events, and the May musical.     Valley View School District 365U is seeking a full-time (52 weeks, weekly hours vary) theater technical director that will provide technical support to high school theatre programs, support use of facilities for events across the district, and manage/update auditorium spaces.

    Job Requirements
