The Brook Theatre is looking for a lighting designer/educator for our spring musical (Into the Woods). This is a stipend position.

The production starts at the beginning of January; the performances are the 2nd and 3rd weekend in March.

Basic duties would be working with the director and TD to design the light plot, teaching students about proper hanging/focusing techniques, teaching/monitoring student programming (Gio @5), and supervising during tech weekend and possibly performances.

The schedule optimally is very light (1-2 days each week after school) early in the process to hang/focus and do some pre-programming through Augment3d with the kids. Schedule will get a bit more involved mid-February once we get the stage and pre-programming is completed. Schedule is then heaviest the week before tech week (early March) when we get our moving fixture rental. Your attendance at strike is encouraged but not required.

We're a 900 seat proscenium space with a great group of kids and adults involved! If interested or know someone who is, email me (morrisondb@vvsd.org).
