Big Noise Theatre is excited to announce Non-Equity auditions for actors aged 16+ for DON’T LET THE PIGEON DRIVE THE BUS! If you loved Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” then you’ll love this! It's not easy being the Pigeon! You never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Based on the award-winning children’s book by Mo Willems, audiences can now hop on board for an unforgettable ride. When: Wednesday & Thursdays, October 23 & 24, 2024, 6pm-10pm. Callbacks on Friday, October 25, 2024 starting at 6pm by invitation only.

OPEN CASTING This is a wonderful opportunity! "MY MOMMA’S ERA" will be an inspiring and engaging production. Here are the key details for the auditions:

Date and Time: Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm

Location: Richard Daley Public Library, 733 N. Kedzie, Chicago, Illinois

Looking for a singer to portray Etta James

Requirements: Must have experience! Bring a headshot, resume and be prepared to do a 1-2 monologue. 

Singers: Prepare a 1 to 2-minute monologue with your vocals of a song.

Dancers: Prepare a 1 to 2-minute dance routine in your preferred style.

Actors: Be ready for a cold read from a scene (2 to 3 minutes).

This is a non-union production open to all ethnicities, with stipends. Rehearsals begin in August 2024, and the performance is scheduled for January 2025. For more information, you can contact info@urbanbroadwaygroup.org or call 872-362-4407.

Break a leg at the auditions!

Auditions will be held at Village Theatre Guild on Sunday, August 18 @ 7pm and Tuesday, August 20 @ 7pm. You need only attend one of these dates. Invited callbacks, if necessary, will be on Wednesday, August 21 @ 7 pm.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No monologues are necessary. Appointments are not required to audition. This is a non-equity, non-pay audition. There are five roles available. (3M, 2F)

The production will run for 12 performances between October 18 and November 3. Jody Vogel is directing and Dave Dolnics is producing.
